ADE NYONGO

Ade Nyongo is a co-founder and Managing Director at Gqada Nyongo Attorneys Inc. He is a Legal Practitioner and an Admitted Attorney of the High Court, with High Court Rights of Appearance.

Owing to his keen interest in dispute resolution and commercial law, he is passionate about assisting individuals as well as organisation’s who wish to collaborate and close deals. With one of his favorite quotes being that “talent wins games but teamwork wins championships”, he rolls up his sleeves when dealing with legal contracting as he views it as a framework where collaboration can be achieved.

Mr Nyongo completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree at the University of the Western Cape. He went on to serve his articles of clerkship at Heyns and Partners Inc. During the tenure of his articles of clerkship, he became a regular at Cape Town surrounding Magistrate’s Courts and that is where his love for dispute resolution and litigation began. This role encompassed predominantly Civil and Commercial Litigation with the client focus being financial service institutions as well as residential and commercial property owners.

After having completed his articles of clerkship, Mr Nyongo took on a position at a boutique law firm in Cape Town, specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law. He was fortunate to be part of a team that prided itself on delivering innovative legal solutions to entrepreneurs and small-medium businesses. His experience encompassed a wide array of corporate and commercial law activities, including the drafting, reviewing, and vetting of essential legal documents.

A pivotal juncture in his career was the founding of Gqagqane Thole Legal & Risk Consultants. As the Founder, Director, and Legal Consultant, he not only gained invaluable experience in providing legal services to small and medium businesses but also had the opportunity to understand their unique challenges. This insight was instrumental in driving Mr Nyongo to establish Gqada Nyongo Attorneys Inc., where he could address these challenges more comprehensively.

His involvement at Gqada Nyongo Attorneys Inc. not only enabled him to grow as a legal practitioner but also as an entrepreneur. During this time, he has assisted in matters involving both the public and private sector. With a growth focus, his practice has expanded to Sports and Media Law with a highlight in his career being bringing a matter before the SAFA Appeal Board and reining victorious for his clients. With dispute resolutions being one of the burning desires of his heart, Mr Nyongo is a regular at the Western Cape Division of the High Court as well as other courts and tribunals.
